Eagles News · Boys Soccer Takes Sectional Title / Girls XC Advances to Regionals / Girls Soccer Season Ends

For the second time in 3 years the boys soccer team came away with a sectional championship.  In 2020 the boys defeated North White 2-1 on a muggy night with Central Catholic hosting the tournament.  The Championship was a physical game that had North White up 1-0 in the first half.  Minutes later Faith scored back to back goals to put us up for good.  E. Pendley had the game winner.  Boys soccer goes on to compete in the regional tournament hosted by Heritage Christian.  Faith will face off against Liberty Christian @ 10:00 AM on Saturday.

The FCS Cross Country teams competed at Sectional on Saturday at the Amphitheater.  The lady Eagles placed fourth and advance to Regional as a team next Saturday (10/17).  The girls’ team was led by Faith Dixon, Gina Lendermon, Kelly Valle, Abby Bolton, and Alli Holder (scoring in places 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22).  Faith, Gina, and Kelly earned ribbons by placing in the top 20.  Six of the seven girls runners ran personal best (PB) or season best (SB) times on Saturday, including a 34 second PR by Abby Bolton.  Krista Valle and Adalyn Nelson were 6th and 7th runners today, both running PRs.

The boys team ran well also, and was led by a SB time by Clay LaCosse and a PR by Sam Schnarr.  Landon Gustin and John Kim ran their second best times of the year.  Additionally, Clay LaCosse qualified for Regional as an individual.

Girls soccer ended their season at the hands of the Knights of Central Catholic 0-7 on Saturday.
