Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · FCS Track Update


The FCS Track and Field teams were in action twice last week.  On Tuesday, the girls’ team won a 5-team meet at Delphi, defeating not only the hosts, but also Rossville, Frontier, and West Central.

 

Event winners for the Eagles included:

 

Alli Holder in the High Jump, 200m Run, and 400m Run

the 3200 Meter Relay Team (Abby Bolton, Faith Dixon, Adalyn Nelson, and Kelly Valle)

Amara Brenton in the 100m Hurdles

Faith Dixon in the 1600m Run and the 3200m Run

the 1600m Relay Team (Amara Brenton, Kelly Valle, Kirsten South, and Alli Holder).

 

Leading point scorers for the Lady Eagles were Alli Holder with 26, Faith Dixon with 18, and Amara Brenton with 17.

 

Keontae Henderson (8) and Josh Kolle (9) were the leading scorers for the boys’ team, with Josh winning the 400m Run and Keontae taking 2nd in the High Jump.

 

On Thursday, the teams competed at a three-way meet hosted by Frontier.  The boys’ team scored a season high 18 points, led by two wins by Josh Kolle in the 400m and 800m Runs.

 

The girls team competed short-handed (only 8 of 10 members were present), but were still able to finish second to Clinton Prairie (losing by only 8 points), but defeated host Frontier.  Leading point scorers for the Lady Eagles were Alli Holder with 13.75, Abby Bolton with 9.25, and Kirsten South with 10.

Alli Holder in the 200m Run and High Jump

Abby Bolton in the 1600m Run

Amara Brenton in the 100m Hurdles

Kirsten South in the 800m Run

The teams are back in action this week with three meets, at Central Catholic on Tuesday (3-way meet), at Harrison on Thursday, and at Madison Grant (The Argyll Relays) on Friday.
